Cosmopolitan is NIT Rourkela' s most anticipated multi-ethnic cultural festival.It is also one of the most renowned multicultural festivities in Eastern Odisha. It is a celebration of the richness and vibrancy of global cultural and creative heritage, featuring dance, music, theater, and many art forms from around the world presented by NITR students. Its goal is to bring NITR's cultural heterogeneity to one stage and present it to the public in the most artistic manner. This multi-ethnic fest launched its first rendition in October 2018, intending to achieve what diversity and ethnicity are meant for: Connecting! The festival drew significant viewers and participants while bridging the huge global variety. It was praised highly by students, faculties of NITR, and anyone who witnessed it.

Cosmopolitan 2024 will be a three-day audio-visual spectacle featuring captivating performances from all cultures and ethnicities under the theme 'Unifying the Diversified.'
